I really did not want to write this review since I've been with Solidinternet for 7 years. But the previous, positive review, left me with no choice.

As I'm writing this review my site has been down for 2 weeks. I consider myself lucky, for I was able to do a back up. People from other two servers have not been able to do this cause the servers they are on, have been down for 4 weeks!

There is no customer support. There are no announcements at their website. The community forum they had, was closed long ago for maintance. The worst thing of all is that they disabled my password at the registrar they own. Good way to stop people from transfering their domain names and leaving.

As I told you above, I have been with them for 7 years. They were good to me and I really respect guy named Robert(who is probably the only owner and employee of this so-called company), but there is no way I'm staying with them any longer.

Stay away from them for your own sake.

I have been with Solidinternet since June 2003 and although the reviewers here are painting a very bad picture, I am overall very impressed with SI and the support.

I know at times they have had their moments, but then who doesnt?

I have another VPS hosted else where, the uptime so far in three months is 95.8%, 96.2%, 93.5% so my SI account that currently is averaging at 99.89% (technically 99.9%) since ive been monitoring it in 2007 is excellent!

Support is always helpful and very friendly.

Used to be a great host, but now is so unreliable, it ranks the worst I have ever encountered. They do not respond to email requests for an ETA on downtimes and my site has been offline for 3 days straight now. It has been going on and off, for hours and even days at a time for the last six months. Its horrible and not worth the inexpensive price. I plan to switch as soon as it comes back online.

Was once a great host. But emails are not responded to, support tickets ignored, and phone calls are never answered (even during their office hours.) Sites go down frequently, most recently went down for half a day. Its impossible to even inform anyone since nothing is checked it seems.

Worst customer service ever. they sell you domains that already belong to somebody else, and do not even care to notify you that their system may have had a "glitch". Total waste of time and money.

I have used solidinternet off and on for almost five years. I have always found their rates reasonable, but when I closed one website I decided to shop around when it came time for a new one.

I was thrilled to find that their rates were still extremely reasonable (better than any other I found) AND they have a month-by-month option if you prefer that.

I had an issue at sign up this time where some options weren't appearing on my cpanel. I emailed them, and within minutes had a reply, and ten minutes later the issue was resolved! Quick service - as long as you remember they're HQ's are in Australia, so their time zone is perfect for night owls!!
