I've used a myriad of hosting companies since 1997, and most either had issues with billing, technical support, performance, or all of the above. In 2007 I was fortunate enough to find Raven Web Hosting, which is now the home of half a dozen of my business and personal interest sites. Monitored by host-tracker.com, have had 99.9% uptime since 2007-03-27. Knowledgeable technical support and great performance, would highly recommend to any webmaster serious about their site(s).
