I had a shared hosting plan with Aplus.net, but they scheduled a server migration that took an entire week. During the migration I could not access, update or even view statistics for my site. This should take 1 or 2 hours tops. Seriously, a whole week?! I'm in a business where I need to be able to update my site and they offered no solutions to the situation, and were unapologetic about it. Other drawbacks to the service: - They only offer squirrel mail or round cube for webmail solutions. Horde would have been much nicer. - Tech support wait times can top a half hour. - New customers get upgraded to larger storage plans, while old customers have to do this convoluted re-signup, migration trick to get the extra space. - Bad attitudes. A real pain to talk to Positives: - I've only caught the site down a handful of times over several years, but how often do I check? - Control panel is ok, but a little difficult to find what you are looking for - I can't think of any other positives. They basically do what a shared host is supposed to do. (minus the week long lock-out.) I gotta tell you, if they need to upgrade their servers, that's their problem. I don't want a week's inconvenience.
