They then lost all 200GB of my files, because I demanded root access once I found out!

Stay away, they have killed my business!

I've used Ezwebhosting since 2002. In 2004 my phpbb mySQL driven message board took off and I've gotten a decent amount of traffic since then. Last year when my message board grew to around 500,000 posts I moved to a VPS server with them.

Before the VPS I'd run into problems with mySQL about once a month, usually the database would lock up. Since the VPS things have been fairly smooth sailing. I've always gotten great, fast service from the tech support when I've submitted trouble tickets (and I've submitted a good many between 2004-2007 in the pre-VPS days). I would say their 99.9% uptime claim is pretty close to the truth.

I have been with Ez=Web for about six months and wish I'd never heard of them. Stay far, far away. Uptime is about 70%, support is non-existent, they lie and tell you there's nothing wrong when you're site is down. They can't deliver what they advertise. I think it's an operation in someone's garage. They have about 3 techs who don't have any clue what they're talking about and treat the customer like idiots. They refuse to issue prorata refunds and constantly try to see you a dedicated server. Do yourself a favor, don't go to Ez-web if you don't want a bunch of major headaches

THEY CHANGED OUR DNS SETTING WITHOUT NOTIFYING US AND NOW I AM HAVING OUR TECH PEOPLE..ON MY DIME...TRY TO FIX IT...THEIR SERVICE IS AWFUL ...MY WEBSITE HAS BEEN DOWN SINCE FRIDAY...THEY STINK

Continues to charge credit card past expiration date! Refuses to issue pro-rata refund on annual plans if cancelled mid-year.
