Malaysia’s leading web hosting and ecommerce solutions provider Exabytes has announced its acquisition of Singapore-based cloud hosting provider Signetique. As one of Singapore's largest hosting providers, Signetique offers virtual private servers, dedicated server, cloud hosting and managed services. The company, founded 15 years ago, has a mixed client base of small and medium size businesses, as well as larger regional and international multi-national companies.

With the acquisition, Exabytes will now have a 15 percent share of the Singapore hosting market. In August 2014, Exabytes also acquired USONYX.

Exabytes Founder and CEO, Chan Kee Siak says that all three companies will continue to operate as separate brands, focusing on different segments of the Singaporean market.

Overall, I foresee that our overseas business revenue to grow to make up 40 percent of our total revenue.

We believe that ecommerce will multiply in growth in the next few years. The internet’s potential for business has yet to be fully explored in this region and Exabytes is preparing to help the regional community with our hosting and ecommerce expertise.

With its latest acquisition, Exabytes’ revenue is expected to increase by up to 50 percent this year as the Company eyes entry into Indonesian markets. The consolidation of the hosting industry continues. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
